After 31 years, the venerable news and culture site Salon.com is shutting down.
I was a senior politics writer there for more than ten years. I departed Salon several months ago.
I did some good work there and I wish my former colleagues the best.
I have received emails and other messages today about the end of Salon and where folks can find my work. I appreciate the kind sentiments and inquiries.
My essays and other work can now be found at my new Substack newsletter Indomitable.

I started the newsletter 2 weeks ago. It is free and available to all. If you found value in my writing at Salon, you can now read it at the new Indomitable site, where I have a freedom of voice and action that I have not had for a very long time. I am both excited and nervous about this new direction.
Trump and his MAGA Republicans and their forces may have been trounced in the midterms. But, the danger is far from over. They are going to become much more dangerous during these next few years as they rampage and destroy. The work of repairing and rebuilding American democracy and a more humane society is going to take years and decades. We have much work to do.
The midterms and then 2028 are just the first steps in the next Reconstruction and Great Awakening that America needs to correct itself.
In solidarity, good humans.
