A Conversation with Author and Activist Paul Street About Race, Labor, and Class Part 2

Paul Street is the guest on this week's episode of The Chauncey DeVega Show. This is the second installment of a two part conversation. He is an author, activist, speaker, and policy expert whose work on politics, race, class, labor, neoliberalism, and related topic has been featured by Counterpunch, The New York Times, CNN, Al Jazeera, and the Chicago Tribune among many other outlets.

In this week's episode of the podcast, Paul and Chauncey continue their conversation about race, class, and labor in America. Paul also does some great sharing about globalization and his experience working as a laborer on the floor of a huge corporate plant somewhere in the Midwest, what riding buses cross country can teach us about class in America, and the challenge of being a freelance writer and paying the bills.

The writers of the great new professional wrestling documentary Lucha Mexico are also guests on this week's episode of The Chauncey DeVega Show. Alex and Ian do some great sharing about the amazing world of professional wrestling in Mexico, the rich history of masked wrestling, and the fascinating personalities they encountered making Lucha Mexico.

During this week's podcast, Chauncey gets very serious and explains why Donald Trump's most recent speech in Phoenix is the final proof of how Trump is, yes, a full on fascist. In this episode of the podcast, Chauncey calls Mama DeVega and she shares her thoughts on Donald Trump's doctor and Trump's outreach campaign to black churches.
