A Chappelle Skit in Real Life: Introducing Robert Traynham, Self-Hating Black, Gay, Former Aide to Rick Santorum

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Where do they find these people?

Here, we have a gay man who defends Rick Santorum, a man that is an open homophobe, theocrat, and bigot who compares gay and lesbian Americans to sex deviants that have intercourse with animals.

Here, we have an African American who defends Rick Santorum, a man that is a race-baiter who suggests that blacks are lazy parasites on White America.

Fanon would have so much fun with Robert Traynham.

Question: are folks like him just professional mercenaries who will take any position because it pays well? Or, and these questions may not be exclusive of one another, is Traynham just self-hating, working for a political agenda that devalues his personhood in a neat act of self-flagellating guilt?

In all, the human capacity for self-delusion boggles the mind. I do not know if Robert Tranyham is loathsome, tragic, or both.

I think this covers it.

Lol Prick Santorum sits there in a sweater vest yapping against gays.

Alrighty, then.

Robert Traynham is one of those Alan Keyes unhinged Blah whackjobs. Nothing he says is credible.

Oh course. We know how the mainstream media is. They want to look for the "right" kind of minority to defend someone of their bullshite.

Love the title.

The question you pose is of the "do you beat your wife on Sunday" type, so of course you don't really want an answer.

You think this guy is either self hating for working against his own interests- or you think he is working for his own interests in the form of some kind of payoff or sell out. (I hope I stated your view correctly)

But what gives you any standing to know what his interests are? You are not his father/mother, you have no legal cause to tell him what is good for him.

What other circumstance can you name where one person can go around and tell other people "You do what I say, and you vote like I tell you because I know what is best for you" (I can think of several cases, and I bet you can too, and all of them stink)

Seems like your normally rational posting style slipped up a groove and you jumped right into bossy big pants. If you want to disagree with the brother then do so, but to just Uncle Tom him is to disengage and cheat.

p.s. NOT a Santorum supporter, I think he has an unclear understanding of federalism.

No it isn't. Did you watch the video? When confronted on the most BASIC of contradictions, gay person working for one of the most vocally anti-gay GOP candidates in years, he crashed and burned, complete with deer in headlights look.

This is not just a problem with Traynham as a stupid clueless conservative individual, it's a problem with cognitive-dissonance conservatism in general.

This is a person who was actively working (theoretically, if Santorum would ever have any kind of chance to push his agenda) towards not only his own second-class citizenship but mine and every other walking social target on Santorm's little list.

Tell me why anyone must respect a person headed for his own personal Night of the Long Knives moment.

Oh Crap- tad dramatic maybe?

Do you really have this paranoid fear that Adolph Santoroum and his turncoat gay 'capos' will be rounding up folks for the boxcars?

Really? And you think like that all the time?

@Jim.

Be careful. Whenever Cnu and his jigaboo chorus starts supporting you, it is quite possible you are on shaky ground. I am transparent. Look back on previous posts on the subject--one of our fun rituals is the discommendation of race traitor negroes.

I operate from a position of group interests. He is free to do whatever he likes, but I call self-hating blacks and others out when they are used to enable an agenda that would hurt the group to which they belong.

There is a long history of this type of calculus among marginalized communities, and quite a bit of empirical work demonstrating how it works.

You can play the radical autonomy game all day long if you like, your choice. Dude and folks like him--black conservatives especially--are useful tools for the Right-wing. I just name them as such.

Nope.

They don't frighten me one bit.

I frighten them.

You don't see me devising entire national campaigns based on eliminating man-on-woman sex; not so for Santorum and the trash that enables him.

Chauncey- Amen for self interest. Its gotten us where we are now and is going to take us a lot further.

And I agree 'tools in the shapes of men' are in the hands of powerful forces are all around us--who knows? maybe we will find some more of them together if we look real hard.

Conservatives like Santorum, Newt, et al are going to be haranguing the queers and the blacks and the immigrants for the next full year.

This is because conservatives have nothing else to run on.

They have no plans for the one issue that affects everyone regardless of social station, the economy, except business as usual.

Mindless parrots of this social agenda, dumb blunt objects like Traynham, are already getting the many miseries of conservative cognitive dissonance they deserve.

rotflmbao...,

not since I outed the skinhead capo "Thordaddy" at the late David Mill's spot a few years ago have I heard the preposterous term "radical autonomy".

That idiot had the audacity to call me radically autonomous Black Supremacist.

Irony of ironies, this crew of limp-wristed cheerleaders for 2nd/3rd line inheritors evidently shares MUCH in common with white supremacists.

You don't either...,

nothing, nada, zip, zilch, bupkis.

and yo boy Obamamandius?

His administration and his whole and entire 2nd/3rd line political orthodoxy compliance and cheerleadning machinery doesn't either.

I've watched this clown carry GOP Water on Roland's show, and couldn't stand him. Now that I know the extend of his self-loathing, my disgust of him only multiplies.

terrific post.

he's the kind of Black person that would be with the Klan right up until the moment they kicked the stool from up under him. ....and even then, it's doubtful.

where do they find these KNEEGROWS?

If I didn't gently, rhetorically, test you pampered Jack and Jill pansies, who-da-phuk would?

The reason I get a rise out of you humanities "studying", lightweight, pseudo-intellectual racism chasers - is because you're vulnerable and culpable on.every.single.dimension I call out.

I'm not playin you.

I'm playing with you.

If you step up, you'll get better.

If you don't, no loss...,

Darwin's fit'na step out on that old threshing floor like never before - and y'all beezy's ain't even close to ready.
