Many seek to DEFEND OBAMA - making the case that he must be fired lest Obama get shown up.

For me - I RESPECT THE STRIPES. I don't care who is the president. The fact is that military rules of discipline require that there be consequences for such actions.

I assure you that if the immediate past president's war-time competency was questioned many who today call for McChrystal to be fired would be cheering this other general for "Speaking Truth To Power".

I wonder if the Sunday Morning Talk shows will investigate McChrystal's VIEWPOINT against the realities of the policy rather than keeping this focused on the "The President vs the General"Constructive Feedbackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13417405356099504421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-57113078446695664.post-36481625944212354302010-06-23T22:34:24.042-05:002010-06-23T22:34:24.042-05:00I'm getting the sense that there's more to...I'm getting the sense that there's more to this situation than meets the eye. What would make a man who spent his entire career kissing ass and saying all the right things blow it all by saying some dumb shit in a magazine?

I think this Afghan shit is going south and he didn't wanna go out like General Custer. On the way out he just gave Obama a big "fuck you" and bailed. This is about shoving a loose cannon over the side.

But I've got to wonder if McC wasn't being crazy like a fox? Kind of like the way Blagojevich tries to look stupid, or more stupid than he is, as a ploy? He had a shit job and things were going south for him. He might have wanted to get out.

(Now McArthur, he was just a guy who had been promoted beyond his competence. Just an asshole. Screw him. That this man will lie to put a more acceptable face on the military has already been demonstrated when he worked on the coverup of the Tillman case—he ass should have been hauled into jail on that one, and dishonorable discharge papers filed.

It is certainly a tough decision for President Obama to make, but I don't see how he can keep this man on.Chris Albertsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12056345320709233401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-57113078446695664.post-5159451694381304832010-06-23T10:19:28.796-05:002010-06-23T10:19:28.796-05:00Every new leader or manager gets tested by his sub...Every new leader or manager gets tested by his subordinates. It's just human nature. But this is life and death and this is the President of the United States. And this isn't McChrystal's first instance of disrespect.

Obama MUST fire him. Not accept his resignation, but FIRE him and then tell everyone why it was done.

If he can't do that then he can't lead. Depending on how this goes down we'll know what sort of President he is and what sort of President he wants to be.

Personally I would fire him and make him attend the press conference where I fired him. I would also make it pretty clear to the various Washington think tanks, media and paid up members of the military industrial complex that if McChrystal showed up on their payroll, we would have a problem. I would take a personal interest in making sure that McChrystal had trouble getting books at the local Kiwanis club.Shady_Gradyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00996625985002373392noreply@blogger.com
