He had so much to give and I suspect was holding back as there were moments where the audience clearly wasn't ready. He was amazing. A master at his craft. As I said on Twitter, watching the talent stink up the place before he came out has encouraged me to do some stand up to cross it off the bucket list. What I really liked was also how Brother Gregory would do some lecturing, then do classic jokes and comedy, then do something observational, and play with the crowd. I love watching masters work.

He delivered.

The only sad thing for me as a student of comedy is that I worry that too many folks in the audience didn't understand the craftsmanship they were a party to.chauncey devegahttp://wearerespectablenegroes.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-57113078446695664.post-22645186029350553902015-04-21T03:43:12.945-05:002015-04-21T03:43:12.945-05:00Damn. While I appreciate his comedy, I also admire his efforts to research and report doubts about the Warren Commission's conclusions. For years he's been one of the most prominent and tireless advocates of finding the truth about JFK's murder. Thanks for refreshing my memory. Now I need to google his books because I would find them enlightening.drspittlenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-57113078446695664.post-42659378994605750102015-04-20T17:22:14.677-05:002015-04-20T17:22:14.677-05:00Here he is from 1965:
