Instead of calling it a poll tax, they call it a voter ID law.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-57113078446695664.post-57786064871265047182009-07-05T16:46:02.897-05:002009-07-05T16:46:02.897-05:00Right! As long as we, whatever our color, not of the wealthy classes fight each other, we will never stand a chance at redressing the enormous economic imbalance we live with.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-57113078446695664.post-15194305788206884232009-06-24T14:59:24.452-05:002009-06-24T14:59:24.452-05:00Look, it is very important that the average white ...Look, it is very important that the average white guy be kept angry about minority advances. After generations of treating black people as second-class citizens (at best), the fact that black people are privy to the same privileges and statuses that they have always enjoyed (home ownership in any neighborhood we choose, business owners with the right to hire whom we please, the presidency, etc) makes them feel as if they are slighted. In essence, they think we are being treated better than them when we are simply enjoying the same treatment. There is no longer nothing that is just for them. There is no longer any special treatment. The good ole boys' club is crumbling. They receive the same treatment as those they see a lesser so they must be oppressed.

And, to them, equality is oppression.Gina Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11539658219952666061noreply@blogger.com
