He is "Microkhan": A Conversation With Author Brendan Koerner About His New Book "The Skies Belong to Us"

Our newest podcast here on We Are Respectable Negroes features Brendan Koerner. He is the kind and astute proprietor of the great website Microkhan, has written for numerous publications including Wired, Slate, and Mother Jones, and is the author of three books.

It is rare that you get to chat with someone whose work you routinely enjoy. I remember reading Brendan's book, Now the Hell Will Start, and then saying to myself if I ever did a podcast series here on WARN, I would love to talk with the author. I then reached out to Brendan. He was generous and said, "yes, I would love to chat." I then, later, quite self-satisfied, realized my coup. The universe is funny that way.

We had a great time. Brendan and I discussed his newest book The Skies Belong to Us, the previous Now the Hell Will Start about the World War 2 era manhunt for Herman Perry (which will be the basis of a new movie by Spike Lee), the craft of writing, how digitization is challenging all things (and creating new opportunities for authors), as well as the curious case of the master craftsman and "trap" builder Alfred Anaya. There is also an Easter Egg for ghetto nerds and fans of the TV show Punky Brewster.

I am so very appreciative of Brendan for agreeing to appear on the podcast series for We Are Respectable Negroes. This is a great conversation that I am sure you will appreciate, learn from, and enjoy.

Hi this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if
blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
